Those of us in a stupor over the debt faced by governments at all levels sometimes need a reminder that "pork" isn't just slang for most government spending, it's also a food.
Once known as "the other white meat," it's derived from the pig. And to help us stay aware of the word as food, the National Pork Board announced its new advertising slogan: Pork: Be inspired.
Sure. Why can't someone be inspired by a pig? They can eat anything, play in the mud, and not worry about those extra pounds. The retirement plan isn't too good, however.
