The local powers want to demolish the old courthouse, so I wanted to get a few photos before it gets reduced to rubble.
For starters, this is the sign commemorating the 1974 remodeling. Maybe some old photos will surface of the original courthouse before they put on the facade. The local newspaper probably has some, but they might not want to risk stirring up a hornets' nest of nostalgia.
This one shows the East side with an event tent obstructing the view. Don't know what event will be celebrated there, but most likely it will be a champagne sipper where the people who hope to make money off it will toast the elected officials who made it happen for them. (Updated: The event tent is probably for the Arts Council's upcoming April in Paris event.)
