Alan Korwin has raised an issue that many immigration reformers have not likely thought about. Of if they have, they wouldn't want to talk about it. That's the possibility that if those 11 million or so illegal immigrants currently in the U.S. are awarded citizenship status -- the desired goal of many of the reformers -- those new citizens will not only get the right to vote, they'll also get 2nd Amendment rights.
This might throw a wrinkle in the amnesty plan as Democrats salivate over the possibility of 11 million new Democrats but then have to grapple with the prospect that many of them might like to go out immediately and buy some handguns and an AR-15.
Should immigration amnesty come about Democrats will be working hard to garner the new citizens' votes. However, Mr. Korwin suggests that gun rights groups should prepare to help new citizens assimilate. He has a good point. But it sure is fun to imagine the look on the amnesty-now crowd's faces as they eventually realize the unintended consequences of their actions.
Side note that's sort of related: http://247wallst.com has a list of the top eight Countries With The Most Immigrants, as follows:

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
