Mediate.com says that Bret Baier "reported Friday, citing a 'well-placed source in the FBI,' that FBI agents are 'livid' about the private meeting between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former president Bill Clinton."
Yesterday we talked about the clandestine meet-up between Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton to talk about, oh, nothing germane to anything that would interest you. Move along. Nothing to see here.
Those of us who aren't in Hillary Clinton's camp were a little bit put off by the whole thing. So it's interesting that Bret Baier's FBI sources tell him they are livid. But so what? They're understandably afraid to step out from behind cover. And odds are that if Hillary skates without being charged they'll simply fume a while. Then they'll go back to work as typical disgruntled government workers. Maybe they'll come in late a few times or violate the dress code. Maybe they'll even leave early.
But otherwise, they are powerless. No one will be setting themselves on fire to send a message to the powerful political machine that runs the government. And even if a few quit, the news cycle will chew them up and spit them out in in short order. And they'll be peddling their resumes at every PD on the East coast knowing they'll never land anything with as much prestige as the title, FBI Agent.
The easiest route, however, will be to simply apply for a federal government law enforcement job in another department. These days even the most innocuous agency has an armed militia with the power to arrest.
Maybe I'm wrong. Surprise me.
