Hunger strikes were once a popular way for a protest group to get attention for some political movement. But when it evolved into tag team hunger strikes the veil was lifted to reveal halfhearted publicity hounds.
A similar thing happened with the "Day Without Immigrants" strike that took place on February 16. According to Phillip Stucky at dailycallernewsfoundation.org here's how it worked. The owner of several restaurants very publicly broadcast his intent to support the movement with a shutdown of his own restaurants. What he actually did was close some of them and move those workers to the open ones. Pretty clever. The workers got to collect their wages, and the owner got to identify with the protesters.
The tag team is a handy technique. Expect Deep State members to use it to try to thwart Trump.
