The "Friday Night Lights" film crew is going to take some crowd shots Saturday night, April 24, 2004, and they still need extras at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa. The scheduled start time is 7:00 p.m. The contact person is Sally at (512) 845-3084, so if you want to participate and haven't called yet, then give her a call.
Participants need a social security number and an official picture ID or an I9 form certifying work eligibility. And they need to be at least 16 years of age, but their parents need not accompany them. And yes, you'll get paid!
This looks like it will be the last opportunity to work as an extra on the movie, so if you are the least bit interested then give it a shot.
Break a leg!
Couldn't help but laugh at the last part of
this article which states that extras will
get paid. My 17 year old son was an extra
in the locker room scene filmed in Midland
and is yet to see a paycheck. I'm trying
at this time to resolve that problem.
Any suggestions?

I recieved all of my checks about 2-3 weeks after I worked. They came one at a time. Couple of questions : Did your son turn in his voucher each day and did he turn in all costumes or props? If so, he should have already gotten paid. Just in case he hasn't, I pulled my check stub for the return address of the company handling payment to extras. Hope it helps. It is Sessions Payroll Management, PO Box 3247, Burbank Ca 91508-3247. You will need to let them know that the employer was Universal City Stuidos, LLLP Friday Night Lights. Let me know how it turns out. They were really good to get all of mine to me. I kept all of my voucher reciepts just in case though. You might ask your son if he held onto that--if he didn't, you might have a hard time proving to them that he was there. Also, if the vouchers weren't completely filled out with all the information they needed, they might have held the check. Anyway, good luck. Teresa M.
