Six actors who provide the voices for most of "The Simpsons" characters have failed to show up for work. They want more pay plus a profit participation. Eonline:
According to Yeardley Smith's agent, John Kelly, however, Fox's refusal to play ball with the actors is not just about money but is tantamount to a lack of acknowledgement of the actors' contributions to the wildly successful franchise.
No Yeardley, it's not the voices that made the show. It was the writers. Without good jokes, the show would have never seen a second season.
I'm originally from MIdland, TX.....alum of MHS 1996....so, I'm not surprised to read your idiotic comments....typical West Texas people......ugh! Anyway, the Simpsons would be nothing without the great voices, writing and animation. Give credit where credit is due....The Simpsons has made 2.5 Billion....I think those actors deserve at least the 360,000 they are asking for. Hell, the Friends cast makes 1 million per episode and Simpsons has been on way longer.....

i think the simpsons cast should be getting paid more. i admit in the first season the voices were kind of weird, but they have come a long way from then. hell the writers even sucked in the first season, everything sucked especially the animation. i think fox is using them. they're taking advantage of the greatest voice actors to ever walk the earth. without these voice actors the simpsons will fall. i've seen this happen with anime voice actors. u change the voice actors, u change the whole show. i cant stand fox, taking advantage of voice actors, they'll pay live action actors more and take advantage of those shows that are animated. Animation is the future! i will honestly stop watching the simpsons if they even dare to change the cast. These voice actors are the ones who bring the characters to life!-
