Glenn Glazer was a witty and entertaining early morning tv weather guy on Big 2 here in Midland until recently. But, he just vanished.
The local stations build up their tv news and weather personalities, but when they leave for better jobs, they just disappear from the screen without any explanation at all. Mr. Glazer has been absent from the Big 2 screen for over a month, and I kept waiting for his return from a vacation. But, no Glenn.
Well, he's been found. He's got a new gig working for KENS in San Antonio.
Have you noticed? KENS already has hired a weekend successor: a meteorologist who comes from a three-year TV stint in Midland. He's Glenn Glazer. He grew up in Maryland and also covered the Gulf Coast at a West Palm Beach, Fla., station. Source: MySanAntonio.com
Sorry you had to leave us, Glenn. Our loss is San Antonio's gain. Best of luck to you and be sure to check out the zoo while you are there.
Update - 6/25/04: Thanks for the comment, Glenn. We miss your appearance on the Big 2 early morning show, but I suspect that with your talent we'll be seeing you someday on a national network or cable show. Best wishes and good luck.
Hey everybody,
Thank you for the good wishes. Midland will always be my second home, and I do miss all of my friends in the Permian Basin.
Y'all take care and I'll be back to visit soon!
Sincerely,
Glenn Glazer

Sorry to know that Glenn is no longer with us. Watching Hillary now is like watching Tom with out Jerry, Micky without Minnie, Edith without Archie.....
Permian Basins loss, San Antonio's big win.
Miss ya Glenn.
