Among the resolutions passed by the Midland City Council this morning (11/8/05) was this one:
19. Consider a resolution authorizing the execution of an advanced funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the aerial photography project; and appropriating funds therefor.
It's my understanding that new aerial photos of the city will be taken sometime this winter. And these new photos are likely to end up on the internet available for searching by anyone with an internet connection.
If, like me, you think it might be cool to send a message to those peeking Toms peering into our backyards, then it's probably not too early to be thinking of a concise message -- words, signs, symbols or a combination -- and about how to get it imprinted legibly onto our backyard lawns.
Winter rye or fescue seeded into a dormant bermudagrass lawn makes for a bold statement. Many football fields have been so vandalized by opposing teams.
Or so I've heard. ;-)

Hmmm. Good idea, Eric. But does it spread? And how do you get rid of it later?
