J. D. Powers has published survey results attempting to tell us how happy we are with our vehicle's brand appeal. "APPEAL measures how gratifying a new vehicle is to own and drive."
Hot selling Toyota ranked 25 out of 35 suggesting buyers snap them up for more utilitarian reasons.

The score for VW owners seems low - the ferver from the New Beetle crowd alone should skew the curve upward...
My wife is by far more proud of her car, (a.k.a. Caliente, a snazzy red VW New Beetle Convertible) than nearly anyone else I know.

Good observation, Rob O. Bug owners love 'em.
Perhaps they were underrepresented in the survey.
