« Where's the world's wealth? | Main | He rode Obama's coattails for straight party votes »

I don't think BHO will be a bad president. I'm sure the New York Times will agree. Let's wait and see what they say.

From the looks of his economic team he plans to surround himself with the usual suspects.

BHO represents the political class and they will call the shots, not him.

I almost feel more sorry for the people who voted for him than I do for the people who voted for McCain. The former expect something different to come out of this election, and they won't get much of it.

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

Redman, actually I don't think Obama's supporters will be all that disappointed about anything he does or doesn't do. They voted for a personality, for hope and for change, even if it was just a change in presidents. It's doubtful that very many voted expecting anything specific.

George, I agree and I disagree with you. They did vote for a personality and hope and change. The ignorant masses, however, who pulled one lever are expecting significant specifics and while they are going to be very disappointed, they'll never admit voting him in was a mistake. Now is not a good time to be president - regardless of which party you belong to. I think McCain's actually lucky that the dems can't blame him for all the misery that is coming.

Suzanne, maybe you are right. There are some very vocal groups who really expect something specific, e.g., unions, and they will probably be placated first. And the voters who had unrealistic expectations will be made to feel too embarrassed to speak out against him.
