I'm a week late on this, sorry. But it's still preChristmas so hopefully it's not too late.
The Midland, Texas, Christmas parade took place on 12/6/08, and everyone, the marchers, the drivers, the riders, the spectators, everyone had a fabulous time. We got to see marching bands, low riders, Corvettes, fire trucks, angels blowing bubbles from the back of a pickup, and a wonder of tow truck muscle as the Towminator towed four big tow trucks. And that's just a sampling. Here are a few photos.
Santa was riding in the snorkel compartment of a fire truck waving to all the people. I waved to him, and he waved back as I snapped his photo. (Thanks Santa!) I lowered my camera and gave him a "thank you" wave, and he gave me a thumbs-up. Dang. Now that would have been a picture. Sometimes the best photos are the ones that got away.
Merry Christmas everyone!
