Where does a man with a collection of around 3,000 cars park them? If it's Mr. Ruben, it's in the family's spare bed room. OK, you've already figured it out, these are miniature cars, Hot Wheels, to be precise, not to be confused with room temperature cars.
He's been collecting them for 10 or 15 years, and each time he makes a trip to the store he may come home with a few more. Don't you know his wife just loves it? It's obvious some compromises have been made, and some rules have been laid out: He can hang them on the wall, but NOT from the ceiling. And presumably all is peaceful in the household as the new ones end up stored in boxes.
Actually, some of them are worth some coin as collectors' items. It seems that the ones still sealed in the boxes will retain their value, whereas once the seal has been broken then down goes the price. So visitors can look but not play.
Let's see, 3,000 cars with four wheels each comes to 12,000 hot wheels. Now that's a lot of wheels. Santa sure won't have any trouble figuring out what to bring him. Hey Mr. Ruben, remember to set out some cookies and milk on Christmas eve!
By the way, just in case you think this is a weird collection, forget it. Here's a slide show of some unusual collections at World's Oddest Collections
