Some people take expensive trips to the Northeast to get to see fall foliage, and it's probably worth it for those who can afford it. For the rest of us there's the poor boy foliage tour -- a slow drive around town. And the fall foliage in west Texas makes for some very pleasant sight seeing.

Here are a few shots taken in the past two days. Some of the tree leaves are turning a brilliant yellow before they fall off the trees. And some turn a beautiful red. I suppose the difference between the Northeast and here would be quantity but not quality.
There's always the human input, too. Ya gotta love this place.
George, you scopped me. I'll be posting my own fall foliage gallery - from a trip Saturday to McKittrick Canyon - tomorrow! :-)

That's my tree covered in toilet paper. I'm not a happy mom. This is the third time since school started that we've been papered. Time for a parent conference.

Oh, gee. Sorry about that, Julie. I didn't know whose house that was but thought it might fit in nicely with the fall foliage.
I'm too far removed from the scene to know for sure, but to T-P a house could be a sign of affection, in an adolescent sort of way. Of course, real affection would be to help clean it up.
