Texans voting in the Republican primary will be able to vote for Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or Debra Medina for governor. Perry and Hutchison are career politicians known well to Texans, and they both carrying so much baggage into the campaign -- Perry with his Executive Order RP65 for mandatory Gardasil vaccinations for little girls, Hutchison for her easy acquiescence to Obama's scheme to nationalize volunteerism, just to name two examples -- that voters may be looking for someone not so intertwined with the political machinery. Enter Debra Medina.
For anyone interested, Ms. Medina is scheduled to be in west Texas on January 30 with stops in Monahans, Andrews, and a 5:00 pm talk in Midland at the Midland Center.
As for me, I'm still waiting for that viable candidate who will support initiative and referendum for Texas voters.
