It's the newspaper! Get it? "Red" is actually "read." Huh wha? You heard it in 3rd grade? Yeah, me too. Kids are so advanced these days they probably tell that joke before they leave the maternity ward.
The new version goes like this: What's black and white and puts you in the red with its 23% annual cost inflation? Once again it's the newspaper.
I was paying a stack of bills yesterday, and there's the bill from the Midland Reporter Telegram for delivery of the morning paper. A year costs a customer $192, up 23% from last year's $156. Dang. But maybe that means it will be 23% better in 2011, even without the weekly TV Times.
For comparison, a subscriber can get the Wall Street Journal delivered for one year and two weeks for $119.08. But it doesn't have TV Times, either.
I thought it was an embarassed zebra.
