Men are from Mars; Women are from Mars

First they had SETI. Now they have SETG, the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Genomes.

Some researchers at MIT and Harvard are working on a project that would result in a device that could take samples of Martian soil and examine them for any DNA that might be present in living or dead microbes. Then it would look for genetic sequences common in Earthly life forms. Source: Have we descended from Mars?

If they find similar genomes, the theory would be that microbial life may have traveled from Mars to Earth. What a journey!
