Today at Midland Freshman High School local law enforcement agencies conducted training for a situation involving a school shooter. A drill consisted of an armed team including an EMT responding to a call, entering the building, neutralizing the shooter, and treating and evacuating the wounded. Several drills were scheduled throughout the day, and what follows is a sampling of photos snapped at the first drill this morning:

A young woman was hauled out on a stretcher, but she was up and around in no time.
As you can see from the 30.06 sign, the school was a gun free zone. And maybe school administrators take comfort in knowing that law abiding people wouldn't bring guns in the school.
