It happened up the road in Amarillo, Texas. The walkway lights were intended to show a simple hand -- thumb and four fingers -- signaling an emphatic "STOP" for pedestrians. Unfortunately, a malfunction blacked out three of the four fingers. Guess which finger was left standing.
Of course there had to be a news video with a cute "bird" metaphor.
Cars and pedestrians don't always mix in the battle for right of way. Size is what matters in the eyes of many drivers, and for them that unintended message may have been just the right one.
Via Newslite.tv with a photo to make sure you know just which finger it was.
These are definitely real. And yes, many ppeloe has got cam in their cars because... There is police in Russia, but they pretty much don't care and can do whatever they want, like beating you up, just because. Now whan an accident happens the justice will not be served but probably the man with most money (bribing) or contacts wins. But if you have camera you can actually prove who was guilty. And since accidents happen a lot, everyone knows it is a good idea to have a camera in your car. Cause the traffic is a total madness and random, rules and laws are more like suggestions that no one cares about. Red light? Nah, I don't really feel like stopping etc.
