On July 13 the Coast Guard spotted then intercepted the semi submersible boat loaded with cocaine in the Caribbean. The craft was built so that they could scuttle it they were spotted. So boat crew sank the ship and tried to escape in a rubber raft. Didn't work, though.
After two weeks of sonar searching, the sub was spotted suspended about 50 under water, and divers retrieved 7.5 tons of coke.
Take a look at this weird looking craft. Those pipes on top are bent like snorkels, and that was probably their source of air. Foul air and high risk. It sure must have been stuffy inside. What people will do for a few million dollars.
