The Occupy Whatever crowd is busy protesting for a more powerful nanny state. But when the state comes down on them it's a different story.
Most observers have dismissed their complaints and are tiring of their antics, especially when they see people elsewhere taking genuine risks to accelerate their country into the 21st century. For example, take the Egyptian blogger who had to strip naked and post a nude photo of herself to get her point across. See Egyptian blogger Aliaa Elmahdy: Why I posed naked:
CNN: How do you see women in the "New Egypt" and will you leave the country if the ongoing revolution fails?
I am not positive at all unless a social revolution erupts. Women under Islam will always be objects to use at home. The (sexism) against women in Egypt is unreal, but I am not going anywhere and will battle it 'til the end. Many women wear the veil just to escape the harassment and be able to walk the streets. I hate how society labels gays and lesbians as abnormal people. Different is not abnormal!

That act was so inspirational that 40 Israeli women stripped to show solidarity with Aliaa as Islamic hard liners initiated legal action against her.
Meanwhile, Islamic fundamentalists in Saudi Arabia, who prefer women covered from head to toe except for their eyes, are now eyeing eyes as the next thing to cover. See Saudi moral committee threatens to cover “tempting” women’s eyes.
So Occupiers, take a lesson from those people whose boogie men are real. The least you can do is take off your clothes. Come on, show us what you are made of.
