From time to time we hear those outrageous stories about a child's lemonade stand getting shut down by some meddling government bureaucrat. Not so in Lubbock, Texas, where they believe kids experiencing entrepreneurship and learning how to sell is a good thing.
Last Saturday (5/6/12) they held Lubbock Lemonade Day during which kids were encouraged to set up stands and sell lemonade. Lubbockonline.com says 3,000 children participated. Same at MyFoxLubbock.com.
Take that, bureaucrats.
