Who says candy is unhealthy? Lots of people. And on Halloween evening there were probably household discussions on the topic all across the fruited plains as the little goblins gobbled up their nightly haul.
According to this company story, Unreal Candy was inspired by just such a father/son discussion. After some research, they made peace and went entrepreneurial to make a healthier candy. With the help of a venture capital firm in which Bill Gates is an investor the company got off the ground.
They make candy comparable to M&Ms, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Snickers, and Milky Way. But the candy has less sugar, fewer carbs, less fat, more fiber and more protein. Furthermore, they avoid corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oil.
It's a hair-of-the-dog antidote for a Halloween sugar hangover.
The research staff here at Sleepless in Midland sampled some. Yeah, I know, it's a dirty job but someone ... oh you know the rest. And you know what? It's not bad. Not bad.
Hi Geo,i always agree with you but this time i will say no. Candies are not unhealthy in fact the glucose is the food for the brain.
