At a televised Senate conference Ted Cruz asks Dianne Feinstein a question with which he sought to get an answer to whether she would apply the restrictions she wished to apply to the 2nd amendment to the 1st or 4th as well. Watch it here.
Whoa, hold on. A junior Senator asking the esteemed Senator Feinstein a question she can't answer? She got huffy and exclaimed, “I'm not a 6th grader,” in the tone of the celebrity's “Do you know who I am???” It was reminiscent of Barbara Boxer's, “Don't call me Ma’am” moment.
Feinstein went on to describe her qualifications in terms of the years spent as a politician. But she didn't answer the Cruz's question. A smarter aid whispered into her ear, and she came back with a remark that yes indeed there were restrictions on the 1st amendment, and those were in the form of prohibitions against child porn.
So in effect she was equating gun ownership with kiddie porn production. And if there is ever a need for an example of how liberals use gun control to claim cultural superiority, there it is.
