This might qualify for a Darwin award. Naked Security is reporting that some Brazilian hacker group defaced a NASA web page last week leaving a message that said "Stop spy on us," among other things.
One has to speculate that these geniuses mistook NASA for NSA.
On the other hand, according to Naked Security:
The hacked sites housed information on the Kepler space telescope, planetary exploration, the moon and more, all run out of the organisation's Ames Research Center.
Furthermore, the message made reference to "The Illuminati." So perhaps the spying they wanted stopped was the actions of real astronomers and scientists who gaze into space.
The truth is out there!
