Welcome to Fox Friday, the weekly display of the goings on at the Bone Yard, a feeding station in the heart of Midland, Texas, where food is placed for the urban foxes that scavenge the area. Unfortunately for the foxes, the neighborhood cats usually get there first and make pigs of themselves. But sometimes a fox gets lucky.
For example, in the series above, as Old Crooked Tail arrives, and Number 2 takes off. That's unusual, but the cat had already eaten some of the drumstick, so the fox had the remainder to herself. I call this cat "Number 2" after Dante's second deadly sin: Gluttony.
This next three sets depict scenes from last night.
Old Crooked Tail takes a look around, and takes off with the drumstick.
But look what happened. Black Cat found it and carried it back to the staging area. What a show off.
Lo and behold, lucky us. Old Crooked Tail came back, found it again, and took it away to finish it off.
Everyone got at least a taste, and all ended well. That's it for this Fox Friday. See ya next time.
