Welcome to Fox Friday, a collection of the best photos from the previous seven days taken at the Bone Yard, an urban fox feeding station in the heart of Midland, Texas. Let's get started.
We had a wet, cold front move in. Here's one from early Tuesday morning before the front hit.
Old Crooked Tail sniffing around. She has two distinguishing features, a crooked tail, which isn't visible in this photo, and black fur on the sides of her nose. (Gamma adjusted on this one.)
Most of the time the feral and domestic cats get to the food first, and the fox is stuck with leftovers. That was the case Tuesday night, but as you can see, the fox does sometimes exit with a mouthful.
Old Crooked Tail (OCT) arriving, sniffing around, and leaving with remnants of a drumstick in her mouth.
It was cold and wet Thursday morning.
Here's OCT giving us the wet dog look.
Thursday night we got some snow.
On the left is OCT interacting with Number 2 - the cat named after Dante's second deadly sin, Gluttony. On the right is OCT giving us her high beams through the falling snow.
That's it for this Fox Friday. See ya next time.
