It was about a month ago that we learned that the NLRB might be giving some illegal immigrants get-out-of-deportation cards. That would come in the form of the NLRB's helping illegal immigrants obtain visas if they filed a complaint against their employer. Souce: More protection for illegal workers.
Then we learned about the memoranda of understanding the NLRB entered into with the countries of Mexico, Ecuador and the Philippines. Those agreements provided for education of residents of those countries about the Labor Relations Act and workers' right to unionize once they're in a job in the U.S. regardless of the workers' legal status. Source: U.S. signed agreement with Mexico to teach immigrants to unionize.
The arguments for these moves is that illegal immigrants should have some basic rights against exploitation by employers. On the other hand, it seems as though it also gives illegal immigrants ways to exploit the immigration process, especially in light of the NLRB's tendency to take the side against employers.
Now we learn that the Obama administration and immigration groups are pushing for a fast track to turn non-citizens into voters before the next presidential election. See The White House And Soros-Backed Open Borders Group Strategize About Bribing Immigrants To Naturalize Before 2016. We saw the same thing happen during the Clinton administration. And it worked.
Can they pull it off again? Ian Smith says this:
The current slate of presidential candidates (and their consultants) should take note: the American people care enormously about vote dilution and the demographic engineering that disenfranchises them. By pointing out the depths of the other side’s cynicism, the 2016 GOP candidate wouldn’t just win the swing states honestly, they’d win them easily.
We'll see.
