By now everyone has heard about Major Garrett's tough question to President Obama about Obama's neglect of hostages currently being held by Iran. Conservative observers agree that it's about time a reporter conducted the type questioning Republicans routinely encounter from the press.
Democrats experience it so rarely they don't know how to react. As a result we see Obama get petulant with Major Garrett for one tough question.
Then along comes Bill Maher to join in the attack on Garrett, utilizing no fewer than three of Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals:
RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon."
RULE 8: "Keep the pressure on. Never let up."
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."
For you see, if Garrett gets away with it, then other reporters might try it, too. They've got to keep the press compliant.
P.S. According to Breitbart:
Maher, who has his own share of critics, currently hosts a comedy show on HBO, the same channel getting exclusive access today to the president for a documentary of his visit to a federal prison.
They earned it. Sucking up pays off.
