As promised, here's a periodic update of the goings on at the Bone Yard, an undisclosed fox sanctuary in the heart of Midland, Texas. Cats dominated the place for a while. But once I stopped putting food out the foxes came back to make to take advantage of the peace and quiet. Here are a few shots from the last couple of months. click on the image to see a bigger version of it.
The camera makes a slight noise, and it sure has this fox's attention.
Showing off in the morning sunlight.
Yellow Cat and fox have a standoff. The cat is fearless with those weaponized paws, and the foxes give him wide berth.
Here he is again in the sunlight.
A young'un with his crooked tail held high. (Son of Old Crooked Tail?)
"Ho Hum! Can't a guy catch a nap around here?"
They sure do have great balance. He's walking on that little broken branch.
He's watching me change the camera memory card, and he doesn't like that one bit.
That's it for this Fox Friday. The last couple of weeks the foxes have been residing at another habitat where there's frequent lawn watering. But they'll be back eventually.
