I gave blood today, and in the departure briefing, the phlebotomist cautioned against certain activities: heavy lifting, exertion, and things like that.
While listing all the bad things she remarked that if I consumed alcohol it would go straight to my head. Wait a minute. That's a bad thing? Who says there's no benefit to giving blood?
So anyway, I've got that going for me.
Update. False alarm. Apparently there's a window of opportunity for that alcohol-straight-to-the-head result, and I waited too late. Don't make the same mistake. Seize the day before it seizes you.
