Contrary to the song from "South Pacific," you don't have to be carefully taught that people who looked different were in fact different. It was simply a way of life. It was how things were. You had to be taught to change that attitude. And Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., opened a lot of hearts and minds.
Many of us who grew up prior to the civil rights movement were enlightened by King's famous speech. Don't judge a person by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Yes, indeed.
Barack Obama, Democrats, and the Black Lives Matter crowd are trying to undo that fundamental principle. They are not going to succeed.
