Here's the quote from Al Sharpton might 'get out of here' if Trump wins:
"If Donald Trump is the nominee, I'm open to support anyone [else], while I'm also reserving my ticket to get out of here if he wins, only because he'd probably have me deported anyway," Sharpton told attendees, who responded in laughter.
First off, there's no evidence Trump would or could deport Sharpton. So there's his first way out of this empty promise. With no threat, there would be no reason to act. Secondly, all he said was that he would buy a ticket. That's not the same thing as actually getting on the bus.
So as much as we would like to believe the reverend Al Sharpton would leave if Trump is the nominee, his statement isn't much evidence of real intent. Never mind that Sharpton's record for honesty is not that high anyway.
Editor's note: Sharpton is probably no more reliable than all those celebrities who promised to leave if George W. Bush got elected. Robo-ed.
