This fits in the category of Obama created problems that won't go away. That was his administration's ruling that rules requiring English to be spoken at the workplace were discriminatory.
Most conservatives favor the English language, and many expect the people living and working in the U.S. to be able to speak it, too. Well, in the minds of folks like Obama, that's racist.
The case originated in the summer of 2014 and involved the dismissal of some workers at Wisconsin Plastics, Inc., because they wouldn't or couldn't speak English. Source: U.S. Sues American Co. These aren't today's headlines, so they aren't in this otherwise hot political environment. But one has to wonder where the presidential candidates stand on it. The two Democrat contenders would back the government. And the Republican candidates would oppose it, for the most part, except Donald Trump. He may say he'll build a wall. He may say he'll expel illegal immigrants. But no way he would tolerate a rule requiring the ability to speak English at any establishment in his hotel empire. It would be adios for half the help.
In any event, the EEOC website says the case was still pending as of last winter, and it's safe to assume it still is today.
