Democrats, and especially Barack Obama, are fond of criticizing Republicans and George W. Bush for initiating the war in Iraq. But there it stopped. The real problem in Iraq was not the invasion or the ouster of Saddam Hussein, it was the botched plan to transform the nation into a dependable ally and continue a plan to completely extinguish al Qaeda.
Those who supported the war are the only ones who have learned this. Look at this ridiculous answer Obama gave to Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday:
WALLACE: Worst mistake?
OBAMA: Probably failing to plan for the day after what I think was the right thing to do in intervening in Libya.
"Failing to plan for the day after..." Incredible. He learned nothing from Iraq.
It's as if Obama was simply repeating focus group tested platitudes prior to his election, but he didn't really comprehend them. Obama's learning curve started at ground zero and stayed there.
