The other day Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald compared the length of time "veterans wait to receive health care at the VA to the length of time people wait for rides at Disneyland, and said his agency shouldn't use wait times as a measure of success because Disney doesn't either." Source.
He caught a lot of abuse for that unsympathetic remark, as he should have. But it tells us something. The President Obama and the people he has placed in positions of power seem to have a fantasy based reality. For example the belief that he could calm the tensions in the Middle East by virtue of his charm; that terrorists would stop their killing if we merely addressed them with neutral sounding words; that opening up the borders would make the U.S. a better place; that a smaller military here makes other countries less aggressive towards us; that he could fundamentally transform the country and the people would like what they got.
This is not new. Last year a State Department official wanted to use characters from Disney's "Frozen" to teach school children about climate change. Source.
While Obama espouses Fantasyland. The citizens debate whether he's Beavis or Butthead.
