Watching reruns of "Christmas Story" over the holiday weekend the typical viewer was exposed to a different era when Christmas was indeed a family holiday. If they kept watching, the nightly news told them how gangs of youngsters went to malls in 12 different states to fight. Yes, to fight. The inspiration for this mayhem supposedly was a notice on social media.
Is that crazy, or what? It's crazy.
But let's look at this in a different light. Crazies with a certain level of religious zealotry like to kill innocent people in the name of their god. Well, one defensive tactic in any effort to deter an attacker is to convince said attacker that the presumed victim is crazier than the attacker.
