Oh how I wish I had thought of this, but no. It's Michelle Malkin's idea, or at least she's the one getting credit for it.
Now that the hideous on again, off again, cop-as-pig painting has been removed from the walls of the Congressional tunnel, hopefully for the last time, Rep. Lacy Clay (D-MO), who is so proud of it, has an easy out. He'll probably want to hang it in his office as a reminder of the fire on which he wants to pour gasoline.
But he needs to give it up. Donate it to the Obama library. President Obama probably got more mileage out of racial friction than any other living politician, with John Lewis running a close second. Visitors to his library need a reminder of that.
And this whole episode is a good reminder of why we celebrate that great peace maker Martin Luther King, Jr. Happy MLK day, everyone!
