President Trump on Wednesday said he will launch a "major" investigation to look into voter fraud in the country.
"I will be asking for a major investigation into VOTER FRAUD, including those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and....even, those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time)," the president tweeted Wednesday morning.
"Depending on results, we will strengthen up voting procedures!"
It's about time we put those annoying rumors to rest. Either there's rampant fraud, or there's just a little bit here and there. But no one except a few serious writers have actually looked.
Democrats should praise this if they believe, as they've been saying, that there's no evidence of voter fraud. They sound like President Obama did about some recent scandal when he said there was not a smidgen of evidence. All that meant was that no one could connect him to it. It was a form of hiding the lie in the truth.
Project Veritas made some surreptitious videos a few years ago showing how easy it was to get another person's ballot at polling stations. And some states make it seem as if they welcome illegal aliens to register to vote.
So bring it on. Let's put this issue to rest once and for all. And if there's a there there, then put a stop to it. Who could possibly oppose this?
