If you've ever been tempted to make a comment on a government website, be original, don't just use a template like these people did.
I ran across this article at Washingtontimes.com: White House publishes personal information of election-commission critics. They're talking about the names of the commenters, if those are real names, because on the page I looked at -- the one for July 12, 2017, -- the names are the only thing different about each of the comments. With the exception of a few added sentences, the text of each was boilerplate, and the return email addresses all went to Common Cause.
Don't they call that AstroTurf?
Not all the commenters used the same template, however. Apparently someone posted another one at Daily Kos, and it became quite popular in the later comments. It seems doubtful that the commissioners could assign much credibility to those comments that are big in number but small in originality.
