When open carry of firearms became legal in Texas the biggest losers were members of the msm photography squad who searched desperately for someone actually doing it. They couldn't find any. Pobrecitos.
That wasn't surprising. Gun owners, typically more focused on self defense than showing off, didn't want to take away the element of surprise and be the first target of an insane gunman intent on mass murder.
Anyway, knife rights groups are celebrating passage of the law in Texas allowing openly carrying knives with blades longer than 5.5 inches. CNN calls those knives swords. So let's do what they do and take them literally. Will anyone actually carry a sword openly?
I can imagine someone carrying a ceremonial sword in a parade or perhaps a Civil War reenactment, but otherwise, it seems unlikely anyone would do it on any regular basis.
