Let's hear him out before jumping to conclusions. It may not all be about political correctness.
My first exposure to this was a snippet on the radio about it, then a Daily Caller article: George P. Bush Is ‘Re-Imagining’ Reality With A ‘Kinder, Gentler’ Alamo. But if you read the article, the plan doesn't seem all that bad.
Relocating a marble memorial to the heroes (the Centotaph) isn't that big of a deal. After all, it was built after the battle, and while it has been there a long time, that doesn't make it a part of the Alamo history. Furthermore, relocating the "free speech zone" -- which I imagine is a public place where dissenters can climb on a soap box and preach to the crowds -- away from the Alamo doesn't seem like such a bad idea either.
Meanwhile, George P. Bush's campaign is running a website called AlamoTruth - Remember the Alamo, Know the Truth which debunks some of the reasons for opposition.
GHW and GW Bush are currently on the outs with many conservatives because of what appears to be a switch of parties. But let's wait to see what George P. plans to do to the Master Plan and check out both sides before coming to a conclusion about this.
