We're hearing about the $15 million paid by Congress to settle harassment claims.
Why don't any of those victims step up and talk? Their contracts not doubt say they would have to refund the money, and if there was enough money involved for any individual victim, then it might be enough to keep them quiet.
That brings to mind the old story about Winston Churchill in which he provided the punchline, "We've established what your are, we're just negotiating the price."
To be fair, at least one woman has stepped up to the challenge. See John Conyers settled complaint. Odds are that in the current atmosphere in Congress there will be moves to negate any non-disclosure provisions in those harassment settlements. So they can talk and keep the money.
Hey, there's a hashtag women should embrace: #having it both ways!
Meanwhile, there are at least two women who really, really, want to stay in the shadows: Lois Lerner and Holly Paz. Oh but of course, it's for the children.
