This is from David Shenk's review in the Wall Street Journal of Joseph Jebelli's book titled, "In Pursuit of Memory" about Alzheimer's disease. Here's the quote about medical research:
"Every finding has scores of older, closely related findings trailing behind, each having been disproved, amending the scientific narrative," Mr. Jebelli srites. "Science orbits the truth; it doesn't live there."
The book and the quote are about Alzheimer's disease research. But it applies to any scientific endeavor. Proponents of the "consensus" on global warming should take note.
