We'll have to wait and see. But it isn't encouraging to find out Verizon has it's own hacking problem. See Verizon says personal data of 6 million users leaked online:
CNN Tech reported that an UpGuard researcher found the data was exposed by Israel-based NICE Systems. The data was collected over the last six months, CNN Tech reported. The researcher alerted Verizon to the leak on June 13, and the security hole was closed on June 22.
That was about a month prior to the announcement that Verizon bought Yahoo's operating business, which included the email service. Hopefully all the known holes have been plugged. But it isn't encouraging.
