The morning paper -- online at MRT.com -- employs a very good reporter in the field of energy production. Here's an example of her good reporting: ‘Frac hits’ growing issue as infill drilling, frac stages rise. That's an article about how some new wells are being drilled so close to existing wells that they tap into the frac fluid that was injected into the nearby well. Maybe that should have been common sense, but it was news to me.
The morning paper relies heavily on the Houston Chronicle for energy news. Both papers are owned by the Hearst corporation. So here's the question: Shouldn't it be the other way around, i.e., shouldn't the Houston Chronicle be using MRT's articles?
Well, we are out here in flyover country, even for other Texans. So I guess we are easy to ignore.
