Pininfarina is the design firm famous for Ferraris, so if nothing else, their proposed electric hypercar is going to look good.
The first ones expected off the assembly line are Codenamed PF-Zero , and the design is expected to be based on the H2 Speed -- pictured on the right. And it is expected to be powered by a 1,500hp electric motor.
They won't be cheap. For prospective pricing, we get this from New Pininfarina car brand to launch electric hypercar in 2020:
An inside source told Autocar: “Pininfarina has always made very special cars, but usually for other people. When we have sold cars ourselves, like the Pininfarina Sergio [of which six were built in 2015 and sold for a reputed $3m each], we have always done very well. It is not difficult to see what the next step should be. The cars will be exclusive and very beautiful.”
Meanwhile, for those of us who watch our pocket books, there will be SUVs, which should be cheaper. However, that will mean sacrificing a few hundred horsepower.
