Exaggeration is often necessary to get a laugh. And this public anti-gun display is good for a laugh, especially since it's in gun-controlled Chicago. Here's a write-up about it from ijr.com, found at Chicago Art Display Shows Buying Guns Are as Easy as Renting a Bike — Here's Why It's Completely Wrong. Excerpt:
A new art exhibit in downtown Chicago shows a row of replica AR-15s attached to a station similar to a bike rental. CNN reports the display has been put on by The Escape Pod and gun control organization the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
The point of the display is to “look as though getting a weapon is as easy as renting a bike”:

That said, the display is kinda cute. Read the article to see what hurdles are in place for prospective gun buyers in the locale where they claim it's as easy to buy a gun as rent a bike.
The number of firearm deaths and injuries in Chicago are astonishingly high. Considering the prohibitions in place for firearm ownership there, the whole thing is laughingly misguided. But that's all they've got.
Thankfully our constitution protects us from gun grabbers, at least for now.
