I had the opportunity to buy a videotape of that movie about an assassination of George W. Bush a few years ago at a Blockbuster liquidation sale. But I was too embarrassed to take it up to the checkout stand. But it was a good example of the leftist obsession.
Turns out it's trendy to imagine the killing of conservatives. The latest case in point is the theatrical play about the murder of a British conservative named Katie Hopkins. Perhaps to avoid being accused of condoning the killing of political opponents, thedailybeast.com titles its piece as a question: Is It OK to Stage-Assassinate Katie Hopkins?
Of course, we are not supposed to be cheering along with the coarsest commentary on Hopkins’ death, but [playwright Chris] Bush fails to fully capture both sides of the debate. The pro-Hopkins voices tend to be less well drawn, their arguments slight or petty. ...
Dailybeast gamely tries to appear impartial:
While the musical is certainly not arguing that anyone deserves to lose their life, it does toy with the idea that Hopkins deserved it more than most.
The theatre is located in a town called Mold in Wales. Enjoy your stay. Wear flip-flops in the shower.
