Lake Superior State University banished tons of words in 2018

Until recently there was a cable TV company advertising itself as having tons of movies on demand. Tons? I wondered if I was the only one bothered by the use of a weight to measure a quantity of digitized movies. It just doesn't compute.

So it's nice to see that Lake Superior State University has finally -- in 2018 --  banished the word "tons" as a reference to an exaggerated quantity. It's about time! Hooray!
